Research interests

Horus Group staff conducts academic research on topics surrounding deadly force training and use, as well as perception and its impact on the decision to use deadly force.  Our research goal is one of developing techniques which improve major performance and preparedness relating to deadly force encounters.

Likewise, we research training methods designed to reduce sub-optimal common task performance under the inherently stressful conditions attendant to deadly force encounters, commonly referred to by the colloquial pejorative term of “choking under pressure”.
